About me

Hi, I’m Lia Tolentino Morrison — Artist, Creative Entrepreneur, and Proud Founder of 2maarte Creations.

 

“Maarte” (pronounced muh-ART-eh) is a Tagalog (Philippines) word that means “dramatic/comedic” and “artsy” — and it’s the perfect description of who I’ve always been. As a kid, my best friend and I wore that label like a badge of honor. On top of doodling in our notebooks, we added flair to every school project, turning presentations into mini productions complete with comedic skits and over-the-top visuals. We role-played and imagined our own company that we called “2maarte Co.” — and naturally, I was the head artist.

Life eventually pulled us in different directions. I earned a degree in Arts, but like many creatives, I found myself setting aside my passion for a more “practical” career path at the time. I spent over a decade in Real Estate, but deep down, painting is where my heART is. With the support and encouragement of my incredible husband, I took a leap of faith and returned to my roots — launching a local Arts & Entertainment company based in Los Angeles.

Today, I run a thriving Painting Party business that brings people together through creativity — from birthday bashes for kids to exclusive sessions for Hollywood celebrities. My goal is simple: to spread fun and happiness through art. With a talented team of Paint & Sip art instructors beside me, I now have the freedom to personally focus on expanding my artistic journey — including the exciting next step: licensing my artwork for the world to see.

Style that'll make everyone smile. ☺️ My work blends whimsical florals, gentle textures, and a hand-painted charm into cheerful surface designs made for gift, juvenile, and holiday markets.

Outside my visual art world, you’ll find me traveling, cooking globally inspired meals with my husband and kids, and soaking up experiences that continue to inspire my work.
